"I don’t remember the artists’ names, and I regret that, because every artist wishes to be known."
This hits differently now that I'm pursuing writing (is it art?). I never realized how many sculptures, paintings, statues, etc., I’ve passed without a second thought, never thinking about who the artist behind the work was. If anything, this encouraged me to notice these little details in the future. The sculptures were beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
If you feel your writing is art, then it is art. That's my thought. There is so much art around us -- never a dull. moment, or a moment without incredible color, in this world.
Noticing details can be enjoyable. But it’s not mandatory. There is no need to feel guilty because someone put something out there and you didn’t notice it. It’s perfectly fine to just go through your own life in your own way.
I fell like someone has been super critical of you and you’ve internalized it.
You have every right to just be you, the way you were made. Just be kind, to others and to yourself. That’s the only rule.
